I’m attempting to look for good books on Visual Basic. I’ve found that about.com has some rather useless reviews, then again, I guess their audience just wants a list of books. But it’s hard to make a decision when all of the reviews wax on the positive aspects of the books without addressing shortcomings. At the very least, it would guide the reader into what combination of books would suite his or her needs.
I’m going with the amazon.com reviews O’Reilly kindly provides to the reviews of their books. Positive or negative, with a little bit of critical thinking, all the information is useful in the selection of a book.
