I’ve been following Ron Paul’s campaign for President since his announcement to run. Today was my first experience attending a political rally for Dr. Paul. He wasn’t there, but about 60 supporters from the San Francisco Bay Area gathered at the Ferry Building to wave signs, march to Union Square, wave more signs, hand out literature, march back to the Ferry Building and re-enact the Boston Tea Party.
It was incredible to see the diversity of ages and races. What really struck me was the youth who supported Ron Paul. As we passed the Virgin MegaStore on Market St, four or five teenage girls cheered the procession of Paul supporters. We were joined by three latino high schoolers supporting Dr Paul. Incredible!
As we returned to the Ferry Building by way of Market Street, we stopped in front of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco to take a group picture.
