Cellphone “GPS” Works on iPhone
I’m happy to see the new Cell Phone Triangulation work on the iPhone. Where I’m working, it works better than my Blackberry on the T-Mobile network. The AT&T network is off by about 100 meters. I’m sure it can be better, but It’s good enough for me.

Netscape Navigator is Dead! Long Live Navigator!
I was a user of Mosaic (which became Internet Explorer) in 1995. Then I used Netscape Navigator, before it was purchased by AOL. I still have the floppy I used on my Macintosh 8100AV. Thanks to Firefox we may now lay Netscape Navigator to rest.
By way of Boing Boing!

A Couple of Safari Pros and Cons
I’m still running Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). The latest version of Safari seems to be more stable. So far, it hasn’t hung up on some JavaScript sites and I’m now able to use GoogleDocs. On the down side, GMail email address auto lookup doesn’t work now. Major irritant forcing me […]

Brian Humphrey, from the Los Angeles City Fire Department’s Media and Public Relations, really understands the web and how a Fire Department can put it to use. First he started twittering major incidents. Lately, he’s been blogging complete reports, such as this dramatic rescue.

WRT54G with Comcast Modem
Couldn’t figure out why my Linksys WRT54G router wasn’t connecting to the modem Comcast sent me. After spending most of last night, and part of this evening, I found this site. Unplug your comcast modem for 30 seconds so it can “forget” the mac address of my compter and pick up the mac […]

Book Reviews Without Stating Shortcomings
I’m attempting to look for good books on Visual Basic. I’ve found that about.com has some rather useless reviews, then again, I guess their audience just wants a list of books. But it’s hard to make a decision when all of the reviews wax on the positive aspects of the books without addressing […]

FaceBook Addiction
I’ve spent the last three days trying to pull my self away from FaceBook. I don’t know what makes it so addictive. I think it’s the way it build social networks. I’ve connected with colleagues on IT Conversations/Conversations Network, and reconnected with friends from school. I like the way it integrates with Twitter and Flickr.
